NGL Coaches Headed South to Hobart

NGL coaching staff are headed south to Hobart, Tasmania. The NGL, in conjunction with Gridiron Tasmania, will provide junior and senior player camps and a coaching clinic on the weekend of September 3rd and 4th, 2016.

The coaches clinic will be hosted at Hotel Grand Chancellor on Saturday, September 3rd. On the Sunday Glenorchy District Football Club will host the junior player camp from 9:00 am to 10:15 am. The senior player camp will follow from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Junior age group is from 14 to 18. The senior age group is 18 years of age and over.

Everyone who is interested in trying out American football or would like expert advice is welcome to attend. All events are free for all participants.

The program will be delivered by NGL executive and coaching staff including Director of Football Operations, Kirk Mastromatteo, Head Coach of the Logan Wolverines, Kevin Magouirk and Head Coach of the Newcastle Miners, John Klacik.

The Hobart event is the first of a series of players camps and clinics to be provided by the NGL. The player camps and coaches clinics are for all skill levels, from beginner to experienced. The NGL is actively focusing on developing American football in Australia. It entails enhancing current and new participant skill levels and attracting new members. Through active organization and promotion of various developmental events, the NGL expects to attract more participants to the sport and in turn building a stronger fan base.
